Stacy Peke – our funky and favorite New Zealander – is back at Dancekool with a new class!! Exclusively she will now choregraph some hot ‘Urban Hip Hop’ routines.

Stacy has performed many times at Dancekool’s events with her famous Sydney crew ‘Deja’.

Stacy has many years of experience in dance as she has been studying at the Excel Performing Arts School in NZ. She has toured New Zealand and finally came to Sydney in 2004 with her singing and dance group ‘Jireh’.

Since then she has kept traveling to the US to learn and develop new dance skills. Stacy has notably performed with Vincent Harder and Random from X-Factor, Erana Leaf, Paulini from Australian Idol and Barry Southgate. She has danced at many corporate events and club functions including Mocha, Hunter and R&B superclubs.

Rory has been dancing for 10 years, developing his training in Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Ballet.

As well as being an amazing dancer, Rory has got incredible acrobat’s skills:

- Dancer/ Acrobat in ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ - Baz Lurhmans
- Dancer in “Choreographers Ball” Tour to Hollywood L.A. with Choreographer Jessie “T” Taylor
- Dancer in Graeme Murphys “Aida” with Opera Australia
- Acrobat work with Opera Australia, performing in, “Caverlleria Rusticana and Pagliacci”.

Rory has been learned  dance Jazz and Hip Hop in schools such as the prestigious Sydney Dance Company and the Australian Dance Enterprises.

It’s time for Dancekool students to Step Up and show everyone how We Think We Can Dance! Each Instructor will be preparing a student showcase for their class to learn and perform in front of their screaming fans, friends and family.

Elizabeth will be replacing Sarah for her Street Jazz class during 6 weeks.
Elizabeth has an intensive training in Jazz and Tap dance as she has been enrolling the Rachel’s School of Dance from 2000 to 2004. She has also perfectionated her skills in Jazz Hip Hop Funk at the Nadine’s Academy of Dance for 3 additional years (from 2006 to 2009).

She has started to work as a dance teacher in 2007 for the SRC Hip Hop Club at the Beverly Hills Girls High School. Elizabeth has always had a passion for dancing and teaching.

Elizabeth is full of energy and she has participated in many events, showcases and choregraphies. She has notably:

• Choregraphed and coordinated perfromances for the Soulxpress Crew (Sydney University’s Hip Hop Society) at  the Burb’s Youth Festival and Chopstick’s Charity Talent Night.
• Had the chance to be involved and make up her own choregraphy and showcase for the Ecclesia Mission Church – Children/Youth Ministry. She has now been the official choregrapher there for more than 5 years.

Dancekool is proud to be bringing one of the most talented dancer – Wakana Sakamoto - from the famour performance groups in Tokyo BLOW!!

For 2 weeks only, Wakana will be in Sydney and teaching workshops in Hip Hop, St. Jazz, Girls Hip Hop and more. The star of several sold out theatre productions and events, as well as heading her own studio in Japan, is coming to show Sydney their style.

WAKANA’s Biography:
WAKANA competed in the National Cheerleading Championship at the age of 16. She later graduated as a valedictorian from the Dance program at SHOBI Music College, Tokyo.
In 2004, WAKANA flew to Australia, where she produced various events and shows as a manager at DANCEKOOL, the largest street dance studio down under. During her stay in Sydney, WAKANA also taught dance classes at The University of New South Wales, as well as at a local girls’ reform school. After returning to Japan, WAKANA has continued to work with BLOW, at the same time actively engaging in charity events as an event director at NPO Soaring Dream Robots.
WAKANA is currently working aggressively to establish a community that links Asia-Pacific through dance.

Takuro is now a well-known and renowned Hip Hop dancer in Sydney. He has won many battles such as Encryption (Feb 10), DG Code Blue (May 10) and he has been in the 1on1 Hip Hop final at Dancekool Vol.24 (July 09) thanks to his amazing sense of musicality and his wide apprehension of Hip Hop.

Before becoming a famous dancer in Sydney, he travelled the world to places such as NY and LA studying and perfecting his craft only to return to Japan to teach in some of the greatest studios such as AirDanceCompany, Pineapple Studios Japan as well as many others.

He taught in Japan for more than 5 years before turning his sights onto Taiwan. Invited to teach as a prestigious university lecturer specializing in hip hop dance he taught at the most famous dancing institute of all Taiwan, the National Taipei Art University. Over his 4 year stay he was in high demand with the biggest stars of Taiwan such as Lee Hom, S.H.E, and Sho. Dancing and choreographing for many famous stars he became one of the largest celebrity choreographers in Taiwan.
