It’s time for Dancekool students to Step Up and show everyone how We Think We Can Dance! Each Instructor will be preparing a student showcase for their class to learn and perform in front of their screaming fans, friends and family.

If you’d like to be involved in the student showcase, come down to class, start learning and organise your registration with your instructor(s)! Showcase routines will be starting in July, so don’t miss out your classes and secure your spot for Hyped Up vol.3!!

How is a Dancekool Students Showcase like?
Dancekool students’ Showcase involves more than 100 students, 18 instructors from all style and 24 different showcases. Check out the timetable and join as many showcases as you feel like!

-$100 only for 18+ (which means $10 a class instead of $15 when buying a casual class)
-$80 only for 17- (which means $8 a class instead of $12 when buying a casual class)

Reminder: The 10Class Pass validity is for one year from the purchase date. It can be used for any style/ level of class at Dancekool Parramatta studio.

Terms & Conditions:
The discount 10Class Pass cannot be used at Dancekool City studio (Chinatown).

Elizabeth will be replacing Sarah for her Street Jazz class during 6 weeks.
Elizabeth has an intensive training in Jazz and Tap dance as she has been enrolling the Rachel’s School of Dance from 2000 to 2004. She has also perfectionated her skills in Jazz Hip Hop Funk at the Nadine’s Academy of Dance for 3 additional years (from 2006 to 2009).

She has started to work as a dance teacher in 2007 for the SRC Hip Hop Club at the Beverly Hills Girls High School. Elizabeth has always had a passion for dancing and teaching.

Elizabeth is full of energy and she has participated in many events, showcases and choregraphies. She has notably:

• Choregraphed and coordinated perfromances for the Soulxpress Crew (Sydney University’s Hip Hop Society) at  the Burb’s Youth Festival and Chopstick’s Charity Talent Night.
• Had the chance to be involved and make up her own choregraphy and showcase for the Ecclesia Mission Church – Children/Youth Ministry. She has now been the official choregrapher there for more than 5 years.

This course is for those who never done breaking before or who wanted to try but never have an opportunity to start.

This course will be focusing on Footwork foundation.

The purpose of this battle is to encourage female dancers to get down on battles!!

Dancekool is proud to be bringing one of the most talented dancer – Wakana Sakamoto - from the famour performance groups in Tokyo BLOW!!

For 2 weeks only, Wakana will be in Sydney and teaching workshops in Hip Hop, St. Jazz, Girls Hip Hop and more. The star of several sold out theatre productions and events, as well as heading her own studio in Japan, is coming to show Sydney their style.

WAKANA’s Biography:
WAKANA competed in the National Cheerleading Championship at the age of 16. She later graduated as a valedictorian from the Dance program at SHOBI Music College, Tokyo.
In 2004, WAKANA flew to Australia, where she produced various events and shows as a manager at DANCEKOOL, the largest street dance studio down under. During her stay in Sydney, WAKANA also taught dance classes at The University of New South Wales, as well as at a local girls’ reform school. After returning to Japan, WAKANA has continued to work with BLOW, at the same time actively engaging in charity events as an event director at NPO Soaring Dream Robots.
WAKANA is currently working aggressively to establish a community that links Asia-Pacific through dance.

Sarah has been dancing for 12 years, developing her training in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Ballet. Her passion for dance began with an interest in Hip Hop and Jazz when she was 13 years old. As a member of the dance team for three years in high school, she became captain of the team in 2003. At Jakarta International School, she received an ‘Award in Dance’ in 2002 and a ‘Most Valuable Dancer’ award in 2003.

Her dance training was primarily at Jakarta International School, Lasalle College of the Arts Singapore, and Sydney Dance Company. In 2006 Sarah completed a Diploma in Dance in Singapore, where the focus was mainly on Contemporary and Ballet. She completed a ballet course in the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing in 2005. The variety in techniques brought about Sarah’s versatile dancing style.

She has performed in Singapore at Zouk Nightclub, Chingay Parade, and Indonesian Art Festival. In Sydney she has performed with Soulxpress at Space Nightclub and The Burbs Festival.

Sarah has taught at Jakarta International School, Singapore International School of Jakarta, National Institute of Youth Performing Arts Australia, and Soulxpress at Sydney University.

AYAMI KATO biography:
Born and raised in Shizuoka, Japan.
Basic training in ballet and jazz dance
- Choreographed YAMAHA musical school theater performances.
- Performed and choreographed at fashion shows, corporate functions club gigs in Japan and New York.
Currently studying at Broadway Dance Center, Peri Dance Center and Djoniba Dance Center in:
* waacking (archie, tyrone proctor, aus ninja)
* vogue (archie, benny ninja)
* house (brian green, ejoe, marjory)
* hiphop (luam, rhapsody, jonte, sheryl murakami)
* African (idrissa, )

Ayami Kato from Japan, trained in NYC and Karen Siu will be teaching a sassy, classy sexy dance workshop influenced by wackin and vogue mixed with some booty shaking to Lady Ga Ga and Beyonce’s “Telephone”.
