This is an open 4 weeks course of Funky Lockin’ with Eriko Okada.
NOTE: You will get a free CD of FUNK music at the end of the 4 weeks course!!

Eriko has been teaching and choregraphing showcases in many Sydney’s dance schools (Dancekool, Caramell, D2Mg etc.) for few years now.
She has now decided to pass on her knowledge about Funky Lockin’ to all the students interested in learning this funky and groovy dance style. Find out all the details below.

On Saturday 13th March 2010, the best dancers in Australia will be united once again, to take part in the country’s biggest battle of the year, “360 UNITED”, brought to you by Critical Hype.

360 UNITED is going global, with international judges such as NYC legendary choreographer and freestyle dancer, ShoTyme, and South Korean sensation, Bboy Blonde, who won the worlds biggest dance competition, “Battle of The Year” in 2007, will both be taking part in the most exciting dance event in Australia, 360 United.

Previous event has featured Top 20 and Top 100 ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ hip hop dancers such as Khaly, Hilton Denis, David Denis, Jet, Taz, Don, and some of Australia’s elite freestylers; Chux, Solo, Daniskool, Nao, and the buckest krumpers; Alpha Wun and Ruthless. This year, 360 will be featuring dancers form all around Australia, competing to become the best freestyle dancers in the country.

ABOUT 360
360 is the largest organized dance battle event in Australia (based on ticket sales from Ticketek). It is a tournament of freestylers representing all dance styles of hip hop such as krump, breaking, popping and other funk styles, going head to head in a battle formatted tournament. 360 does NOT compare or determine which style is better, rather it encourages and promotes freestyle dance. The event features two divisions, the crew vs. crew battles and the solo battles.

The freestylers are judged on techniques, musicality, versatility, character, foundation, originality, how good it looks and how entertaining they were. Each event will be bringing in some of the best established and some of the best up and coming freestylers to impress the judges, outshine the other crews and to entertain the crowd. Each winning division is rewarded with some fantastic prizes such as; cash prizes, media packages, sponsor gears, and the most prestige prize of them all, the 360 Championship Trophy.

360 is an annual event held in Sydney, Australia. Each year 360 brings in a crowd of 1200+ coming from all over Australia.
