8 years ago, Dancekool was born, a small collection of instructors teaching hip hop style to Sydney. DK’s seen different venues, faculty and styles throughout the years but one thing has remained constant; High quality instruction in hip hop dance styles. Now DK is turning 8 and more then ever we love to celebrate it was Just Dance. And we’d like to invite you to join in celebrating it with us.

Dancekool is proud to present the premier performance event for 2009. Just Dance, with the hottest crews, best dancers and international guests of the highest calibire.

Highlighting the performance is our international special guest, Link from the the legendary hip hop crew Elite Force. A founding member, he and the crew have had a huge impact upon the history of the hip hop scene and are continue to tour and perform all over the world.

In addition we have the legendary Hiro Sakuma from Japan. Considered one of the founders of the hip hop scene in Japan, he has had a phenominal career and extensive knowledge in numerous street style dances.

With some of Australia’s best crews performing, this event will bring together talent from all over the country. From Melbourne we are proud to present the premier Hip Hop crew Jigsaw Sneakers. From MMA studios, they a known throught Melbourne for their style, technique and flavour.

Also performing will be the face of hip hop on SYTYCD , the famous Nacho Pop will be doing a show to help celebrate Dancekool’s birthday. Also performing will be Pania and Eman of the top 20 with a duet showcasing their amazing dance abilities.

Granite Roc is a member of the world renowned Massive Monkees crew. Based in Seattle, the Massive Monkees have travelled the world wide gaining noteriety and fame while winning many prestigious competitions and titles such as Bboy Summit and Hip Hop Oppression.
Granite has been bboying for 12 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the dance. His workshop will cover all facets of breaking from top rocks to drops to power. Come and learn from this special guest from the US!

DAISKUE is one of the greatest battlers in Sydney with 4 consecutive top 8 placings in @live Dance, one of the top competitions in Japan. Also the chmpoin of DK’s $2 Battle and Melbournes Wanted Battle, come and learn from this celebrated champion of dance!

DARYL

DARYL is one of the top dancers in Brisbane, who has worked with numerous artist such as Regine Velasquez, Gary V, Martin Nievera, Dianne Belschner and upcoming artist Cat Thompson. As a quality choreohrapher and dancer, come and learn Brisbane Style from him!

BLOW

Greg Campbelock Jnr.is one of the most famous figures in the history of locking and funkstyle dance. Member of the legendary locking group “The Lockers” he is the pioneer and originator of many of the locking movements and steps performed worldwide today. His knowledge of the dance is unrivaled and his expreience of the times and history of locking make him one of it’s greatest teachers. With years of experience, countless performances, battles, events and shows in his long career he continues to teach locking dance and most importantly keep it funky. The teacher to famous entertainers such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Usher as well as amazing and talented lockers from all over the world such as Originatlity Lockers, Hiro Sakuma, Sugapop, Gemini and P-Lock. A 11 year veteran of the locking dance, Win is one of Greg’s greatest students. A legend of Locking in Taiwan he has been acredited with many awards in locking competitions and battles. Trained by some of the best lockers in the world he has decided to come down to Australia as well to teach alongside Greg.

In conjunction with Greg Campbelock’s workshop, Dancekool is proud to present a seperate easter course with Shock Win of Taiwan. Win’s course is designed to run parralel with Greg’s to reinforce student’s understanding and execution of locking foundation, moves, tecnique and musicality. The course will be conducted in 2 hour classes over 2 days. Don’t miss this chance to learn from one of the best!
